Sanitary Sewer Service - Sewer Treatment

Soos Creek Water & Sewer District (SCWSD) is responsible for 517 miles of sewer mains and over 32,000 sewer connections. A sewer connection includes the sewer "stub,” a short pipe from the sewer main in the street to the customer’s property line. Each customer is responsible for the side sewer line that runs from the house to the sewer stub. Some houses may also have a "grinder" pump to transport wastewater along the side sewer to the sewer stub.

SCWSD transports the wastewater, via its sewer mains, to King County’s South Treatment plant in Renton for treatment and disposal.
