BOULEVARD LANE NEIGHBORHOOD CONSTRUCTION

blvd-lanes-phase-2.jpgThe District is continues its annual AC water main replacement program, with work being done in the the Boulevard Lane neighborhood. The water mains we are replacing were installed between 1965 and 1970 and are undersized based on current codes and regulations. Replacing these water mains will reduce the number of leaks and breaks, and increase reliability and fire protection flow in this neighborhood.

We are replacing 6,100 feet of water main, associated fire hydrants, valves and service lines from the new main to the water meters. Any roadways and other areas impacted by construction will be restored once construction is complete.

Some fire hydrants will be relocated. These new locations were selected based upon updated design standards and regulations. If a hydrant being moved is located near your property, please know it is being moved to best serve your neighborhood.

Project benefits include:

  • Reduced leaks and line breaks
  • Enhanced water quality
  • Improved water service reliability
  • Improved fire protection

What to expect during construction:

  • Equipment noise and dust
  • Temporary street detours with access for residents, delivery and emergency vehicles
  • Driveway and sidewalk access restrictions
  • Temporary water service interruptions
