LIFT STATION NO. 46 CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Construction is complete on the District’s newls46-control-finished.png Lift Station No. 46 (LS 46).  The Station is located south of the intersection of 156th Place SE and SE 272nd Street.  This was the final facility to complete the District’s Regional Conveyance System which serves the City of Covington’s Town Center.  The Town Center includes businesses like HomeGoods, Marshalls, Party City and new developments along Wax Road SE.

LS 46 facilities include a small control building, odor control equipment, and a standby power generator.  The station has an initial pumping capacity of 1,600 gallons per minute (gpm) which can be increased to a maximum of 2,400 gpm to accommodate future growth in the Town Center.

The new LS 46 is the most visible component of the District’s Regional Conveyance System project.  Construction of the conveyance system, piping underground that conveyance the sewage to and from the LS 46, wrapped up in the spring of 2017.
