PAVING PROCESS BEGINS IN THE BOULEVARD LANE NEIGHBORHOOD

Street grinding is scheduled to begin April 3rd.  Paving should be completed about one week after the street grinding is done, but completion will depend on dry weather.

Please stay clear of the construction areas and be mindful of any construction signs. Access will be maintained for delivery services, garbage pickup, school busses and emergency vehicles.

Additionally, please remove any driveway curb ramps and any other items that might be in the roadway.  This will help with the paving work.

What to expect during the roadway paving:

  • Temporary detours
  • Temporary blocking of driveway access
  • Temporary removal of driveway curb ramps by residents to allow for paving equipment
  • Temporary parking restrictions
  • Temporary changes in road conditions
  • Equipment noise and dust
  • Completion time may vary depending on weather conditions

About the project:

The ongoing Boulevard Lane neighborhood project is part of the District's annual AC water main replacement program. The District is upgrading water mains in the Boulevard Lane neighborhood which were installed between 1965 and 1970, bringing their size up to current codes. This improves reliability and fire protection flow in the neighborhood and reduces the number of leaks and breaks in the pipe.

This project involved replacing a total of 6,100 feet of water main, along with fire hydrants, valves, and service lines connecting the new main to water meters.
