By using this site, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to the following:
Types of Information We Collect:
The information we gather is either information that you voluntarily supply when you register or initiate transactions, for example, your name and address; or information gathered on usage patterns and preferences as visitors navigate our website, use our services such as email, or read our email newsletters.
Whether and to Whom Information is Disclosed:
As a public entity, we want to make it clear that we will not obtain personally identifying information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to provide that information to us. Soos Creek Water and Sewer District ("District") will not disclose, give, sell, or transfer any personal information our visitor submits except for as required by law; for instance, authorized law enforcement investigations, threats to public safety, or authorized public disclosure requests.
We may share your information with third parties, including the following situations:
Legal Purposes: We may provide your information to third parties as required by law or to cooperate with regulators or law enforcement authority.
Public Disclosure Requests: We are required to comply with public requests for District records. Pursuant to the Washington State Public Records Act, the information provided on a complaint may be subject to public disclosure, except IF you are a victim or witness and disclosure would endanger the life, physical safety or property of you or any person, in which case you may request anonymity. Identifying information may be redacted. You may also request that the District exempt identifying information from disclosure by electing to remain “Anonymous” when you are prompted to voluntarily submit your personal information for a complaint. The District must state that it cannot guarantee confidentiality. Your information is not confidential and must be disclosed if you are identified as a witness in an administrative or court proceeding, or if otherwise required by an administrative or court order.
Health or Safety: We may share your information with a third party when we have a good faith belief that there is an emergency that poses a threat to the health or safety of you, another person, or the public generally that compels a response.
Other possible uses of personal Information: We may use your voluntarily supplied contact information to respond to inquiries or requests. Various people, typically District staff, may need to see your information to provide a thorough response to you.
